Job descriptionAnalyze sales forecasts, historical data, and market trends to develop accurate inventory plans. Collaborate with production, procurement, and sales teams to align inventory with operational requirements. Adjust inventory strategies based on seasonal, market, and customer demand variations. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and chemicals. Track purchase orders and resolve supply chain issues such as delays or shortages. Maintain strong supplier relationships to negotiate favorable terms and improve supply reliability. Use inventory management software and tools to track key metrics, generate reports, and identify improvement opportunities. Provide regular updates on inventory status, risks, and performance to stakeholders. Ensure inventory storage and handling comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements specific to chemicals. Maintain proper documentation for hazardous materials, including safety data sheets (SDS). Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Identify and resolve inefficiencies in inventory planning and supply chain operations. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Chemistry, or a related field. Extensive experience in inventory planning, supply chain, or a related role, preferably in the chemical or manufacturing industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. Knowledge of chemical industry regulations and hazardous material handling is a plus
