As a Software Engineer Principal within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, Birmingham, AL, Dallas, TX or Phoenix, AZ. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

Required Experience :

• In-depth Linux (must have) and server-based platform knowledge for deployment, integration, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of application infrastructure.
• Experience with databases queries (SQL / Oracle / Teradata / Hadoop), software development (Java and C), and API development within custom and vendor provided (COTS) applications.
• Must have working knowledge of networking, infrastructure management and firewall technologies.
• Support production systems, as required, through performance optimization, problem resolution, vulnerability and platform compliance, and timely issue communications within the cyber security.
• Must be comfortable speaking to internal customers / internal partners and to clearly articulate technologies to other engineers.
• Maintain, utilize, and modify applications’ operational runbooks and perform business continuity failover activities for critical applications within the cyber organization.
• After hours support for product incidences, production implementations and escalations.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary : $65,000.00 – $187,200.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and / or individual performance.
