JOB PURPOSE :
Law School Communications needs a student to assist the Associate Dean in research and writing tasks. This position requires someone who is able to research and write well. The position reports to Judy Asbury, Assistant Dean Communications and External Relations.
Core competencies for the job : Excellent writing skills, ability to tell a story in writing, excellent verbal interviewing skills, CMS systems understanding, a current law student, 2L preferred.
Preference given for : Prior experience in journalism, social media, blogs and / or publishing. Skills in web system Live Whale, social media, and photography desired.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Under the supervision of the director, specific job responsibilities may include :
Research and write news storiesUpdate content on websiteAssist with photography and / or video needsAssist with social media postsProof-reading and copy editingAbility to honor and work with all identities and individuals, particularly those who are underrepresented in the country and / or at Lewis & Clark College.SCHEDULE :
Up to 10 hours per weekTimes and days worked is flexible as student schedule allowsOffice hours are Monday - Friday 9 AM - 5 PMRATE OF PAY :
18.00 / HourWORK STUDY REQUIREMENT :
