Classification : This is a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits.
Description :
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Athletic Trainer to provide full-time support to an Orthopedic Surgeon in a fast-paced medical practice. As an Athletic Trainer you will play a critical role in assisting the surgeon in providing high-quality care to patients with orthopedic conditions. Your responsibilities will include both administrative tasks and direct patient care duties. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for working with people.

Primary Responsibilities :
Patient Care :
- Prepare examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and stocking necessary supplies.
- Greet and room patients, take patient history; document and share information with physician and / or PA.
- Discuss patient’s initial evaluation and plan of care with physician and / or PA
- Carry out prescribed treatments and recommendations by the physician and / or PA including dressing changes, suture removal and injection preparation.
- Responsible for DME fitting and education.
- Perform basic wound care, dressing changes, and suture removal under the direction of the surgeon.
- Educate patients on post-operative care, home exercises, and rehabilitation protocols.
- Prepare and educate patients and their families by explaining the process and providing reassurance.
- Potential for assisting in the operating room and conducting post op clinic independently.
- Other duties as assigned within scope.
