Job Summary
We are seeking Audio Visual Technicians I and II to assist with and perform the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of commercial AV systems including projectors, displays, speakers, amplifiers, and control systems on various job sites. This hands-on role includes mounting AV hardware, terminating low-voltage cabling, reading blueprints, and ensuring all installations meet quality and safety standards. The position offers opportunities for on-the-job training, long-term career growth, and advancement within a collaborative team environment.
Job Responsibilities
Install projectors, displays, speakers, amplifiers, sound masking systems, and related AV equipment.
Install mounts and hardware on various wall and ceiling types for projectors, displays, speakers, and wireless microphones.
Install and terminate AV low-voltage cabling (18 / 2, Coax, CAT5 / E, CAT6).
Terminate RG6, HD-SDI, SDI, XLR, and RCA connectors.
Dress and route cable from IT closets to device locations, including equipment racks, TVs, projectors, and speakers.
Perform cable pathway installation using J-hooks and D-rings.
Manage and label cables neatly and accurately.
Build and configure AV equipment racks (Technician II).
Install and troubleshoot control systems such as Crestron and Extron (Technician II).
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation schematics.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients in a professional manner.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and site protocols, including proper PPE use and jobsite cleanup.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
Technician I : 6 months to 1 year of commercial audio-visual installation experience.
Technician II : 2 to 3 years of commercial audio-visual installation experience, including control systems (Crestron, Extron) and equipment rack builds.
Active OSHA 10 certification preferred.
Ability to read and follow blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Must possess reliable communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical Requirements : Ability to work on ladders and scissor lifts, in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and move up to 75 pounds. Must be able to stand and work on your feet for the duration of the shift.
Tools Required : Basic hand tools including screwdriver (multi-bit), tape measure, snips, pliers (needle nose and channel locks), RG6 cable stripper, coax cable crimper, punch-down tool, flashlight, work boots (steel toe or composite toe), gloves, and tool pouch.

Regular and reliable attendance is required to meet project deadlines.
Position may require travel to various commercial job sites.
