The Auditor collects and analyzes data, performs interviews of employees, and applies internal audit strategies to provide independent assurance as to whether the company's processes of risk identification, controls and governance are adequately designed and operating effectively.
Essential Functions
Assist with research of specific business risks and regulations
Work with relevant personnel during the audit process, inclusive of the audit team and company employees
Perform detailed audit testing (collect and analyze data and record results in workpapers as outlined in the audit program)
Summarize results / findings
Ensure compliance with Northwest’s policies and procedures, and Federal / State regulations
Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
Complete special projects as assigned by management
Education and Experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance
Less than 2 years Auditing experience
Less than 2 years Administrative / Business related experience
Ability to establish effective working relationships among team members and participate in solving problems and making decisions
Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience, whether oral or written
Ability to make right decisions based on perceptive and analytical processes, practicing good judgment in gray areas
The pay range for this position is generally $24.04 – $26.44 per hour. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the successful candidate’s experience, skills, and knowledge. Additional bonus earning opportunities and benefits are also available.
