Overview :
Sentara is currently hiring a Patient Care Technician to work at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital located in Virginia Beach on Intermediate Care Unit 4B.
Hours / Shift :
Full-time, night shift. 7pm to 7am.
Department / Position Overview :
The Intermediate Care (IMCU) is a 24-bed unit located on the 3rdfloor at Sentara Princess Anne hospital. Our patient population consists of medical surgical patients, patients requiring Bipaps and Chronic Ventilators. We are also a Stroke Certified unit.
If you're looking for a fast-paced unit with a supportive team. We would love for you to apply. We are willing to work with students schedules who are currently enrolled in a nursing program.
As a Patient Care Technician with Sentara, you will have the opportunity to learn many new skills. From taking vitals to blood draws and daily care. The primary duties of this position include supporting the admission / discharge process, changing, bathing ambulating patients, drawing blood, foley catheter care, meeting patient needs while working under the direct supervision of a nurse. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to provide the best care for our patients.

Minimum Requirements :
- One year of prior health care experience preferred.
- American Health Associate BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and one of the following
Sentara Care Partner Certification Program, or
