Maintenance Technician (Looking For Weekends)

Job Description :

A Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the guest rooms, public space, and back of the house areas in good repair. A facility engineer is competent in various trades, including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering, and masonry, to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel.

The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our "ONE TEAM. ONE VISION." philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.

Responsibilities :

• Complete all required training
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures and property specific brand standards
• Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests
• Have knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
• Repair or replace items such as light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall coverings, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous items
• Maintain a record of repairs performed, repairs calendared and pending, and repairs needing evaluation
• Inspect guestrooms, public space and back of the house to evaluate for areas to repair, touch up or replace
• Assist other department team members in the systematic application of the preventive maintenance program
• Have basic mechanical aptitude for the operation and repair of hotel facilities and equipment
• Have working knowledge of basic hand and power tools
• Is responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow associates, and hotel assets in conjunction with hotel management
• Will keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer / guest information, associate issues, etc.
