Volt is hiring a Principal Automation Engineer in Salt Lake City, Utah with a global leader in motion and control technolgies.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing automation and vision inspection technology in the manufacturing of products in the Engineered Polymer Systems division.
As a Principal Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for :
- Managing the portfolio of projects and prioritize based on savings impact and potential for replication across all manufacturing facilities.
- Design automation systems for the target operations
- Manage fabrication of systems internally and with integrators as required, program and test, manage installation and run-off of the systems in the plants
- Design and implement automated vision inspection systems
- Develop work instructions and maintenance procedures, including developing and delivering training on systems
- Travel to plants, mostly in the US and Mexico, and vendor sites as required
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Salary : $105-175K annually
