Duties & Responsibilities :

• Standardize equipment, methods and processes in all areas (as feasible).
• Program, troubleshoot and improve PLC / HMI programs on applicable machinery.
• Lead and coordinate technical projects; ensures compliance to all state and federal regulations and design plans.
• Responsible for project schedule preparation, budget (ROI) calculations; Completes projects on time and within assigned budget.
• Collaborates with various departments on projects, troubleshooting, waste and defects reduction.
• Coordinates and implements best practices; remains relevant with latest trends and current product development in area of expertise.
• Contract and partner with vendors and contractors; Prepares specifications for bids, evaluates bids and makes recommendations.
• Ensures all vendors and contractors follow required Safety protocol / procedures during each visit / project.
• Responsible for purchasing, follows bids protocol, start-up of new equipment, training of new teammates, and work instruction development.
• Assist on cost down efforts and provide production equipment upgrade / improvement road maps, including automation projects and long-term planning.
• Supports Safety and Environmental related tasks and activities; Maintains all efficient and safe working environment for all teammates.
• Oversees all building projects and repairs in the absence of the maintenance manager.
• Oversees maintenance team and provides support and direction as required.
• Continually review current HMI programs to increase efficiency and functionality.
