Description

Summary :

This position is responsible for driving the APRs business strategy to accelerate growth in the automation businesses including programmable controllers, I / O, HMI, safety, industrial computers, system network design, design software, operations software, and plant maintenance software. You will be technical liaison between Rockwell Automation and the distributor.

Reports to : AIMM Business Development Manager

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor of Science in Engineering OR equivalent combination of skills, experience, and education
3-years experience / knowledge applying Rockwell Automations products or equivalent competitive solutions
Outcome-based selling experience
Demonstrate technical writing and presentation skills

ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES :

Knowledge of local market and competitive environment

Ability to work independently and be self-motivated

Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications :

Formal certification in functional safety, network design, or cybersecurity

Working Conditions :

Conditions vary and may include industrial, warehouse, office, and external environments. Some activities will include climbing, standing, and possible extreme heat / cold conditions. Office time may include sitting for extended periods.

The position involves travel both by car and by air.

Supervisory Responsibilities : No

Essential Job Functions :

Participate in account planning and sales strategy

Provide selection and design advice, as needed

Create and execute plans to exceed growth targets

Be accountable for revenue performance of assigned product segments

Serve as domain expert around automation business and continuously build competency

Coordinate sales team efforts required to identify and close account conversions and project sales opportunities

Travel to customers within assigned geographic area
