Job Title : Building Automation Technician
Location : Vancouver, WA
ABOUT THE ROLE :
We're looking for someone to guide a group of technical professionals—overseeing project design work, ensuring quality, and supporting growth within the team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO :
Lead and develop a group of engineers working across various core building systems (mechanical, piping, automation, etc.). Your focus area may shift based on business needs.
Help shape the team's skills through mentoring, coaching, and training efforts.
Partner with leadership on managing project flow and task delegation.
Conduct in-depth reviews of engineering work—everything from calculations and system layouts to energy compliance documents.
Support both early-stage design planning and occasional on-site coordination.
Keep project work on schedule and contribute to cross-functional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Take on additional tasks as needed to support team and project success.
WHAT YOU BRING :
A degree in a relevant technical or construction-related field.
A few solid years of hands-on design experience, including time spent mentoring or leading others.
A strong grasp of how building systems come together—from technical fundamentals to code compliance and practical install considerations.
Experience working with both 2D and 3D design tools.
A professional license is a nice-to-have, not a must.
