Full Time or Part Time : Part Time

Job Description :

Founded in 1967, Blue Ridge Community College has served the residents of the central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia for over 50 years. Its comprehensive program of instruction includes associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates in occupational / technical and college / university transfer programs. The College also provides non-credit workforce training and special interest classes for individuals, business, and industry.

  • Provide highest quality of flight training to students
  • Follow the TCO requirements & standards that apply to each student
  • Teach and adhere to appropriate UND standardization manual
  • Maintain pilot proficiency
  • Display professionalism
  • Maintain accurate record keeping

BRCC is currently building a pool of POTENTIAL applicants for instructor positions in this discipline. There may or may not be any positions currently available. However, in order to be considered for current and / or future openings, please follow the application instructions below. Minimum Qualifications :

  • Attention to detail within Federal Aviation Administration regulations
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively provide flight instruction as well as ground instruction and adhere to established safety practices and procedures
  • Private Pilot Certificate, Instrument Pilot Certificate, and Commercial Pilot Certificate -fixed wing
  • Flight Instructor Certificate - Airplane
  • Valid Class III FAA Medical Certificate or greater
  • Experience as a student or flight instructor in a Part 141or Part 61 training program
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Flight instruction experience
