Kelly Duke Staffing is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Aviation Project Engineer to join our client in Oklahoma. As the Aviation Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing aviation projects, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of airports, and coordinating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality results. Your expertise in civil engineering, project management, and aviation regulations will be crucial in successfully executing projects and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the project engineer for aviation projects within the assigned region.
- Collaborate with airports, municipalities, and regulatory agencies to plan, develop, and implement improvements.
- Lead and manage all aspects of aviation projects, including design, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, client relationships, and risk management.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, local codes, and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure the successful completion of aviation infrastructure projects.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and evaluations to assess project progress, quality, and adherence to specifications.
- Prepare and present reports, technical memoranda, and presentations to stakeholders, including Planning and Zoning Commissions and City Councils.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Proactively identify potential project issues and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes related to aviation engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional engineering license (PE) is required.
- Proven experience in aviation project management, preferably within the FAA or related organizations.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, including FAA guidelines and codes.
- Experience working with airports, sponsors, and regulatory agencies in planning and executing aviation projects.
- Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
