The Technical Troubleshooter is responsible for diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical issues affecting aerospace products and systems.
- Perform methodical troubleshooting and fault isolation on aerospace components, assemblies, and systems.
- Diagnose failures using schematics, technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and test procedures.
- Disassemble, repair, reassemble, and test products to verify proper operation and compliance with specifications.
- Identify root causes of product failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Support repair, overhaul, and return-to-service activities to ensure quality and cycle-time targets are met.
- Set up and operate test equipment, fixtures, and diagnostic tools.
- Document troubleshooting steps, findings, repairs, and test results in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability.
- Provide technical guidance or clarification on repair manuals and procedures as needed.
- May support customer sites or field operations for installation, troubleshooting, or product support.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in aerospace troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, or test operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Experience using diagnostic and test equipment.
