Responsibilities:
- Substitute teacher must deliver lesson plans provided by the absent teacher, ensuring continuity in students' education.
- Substitute teacher must adapt to different classroom environments and grade levels, maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere.
- Substitute teacher must manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment.
- Substitute teacher must communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as needed.
- Substitute teacher must follow school district policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must have a current Missouri Substitute Certificate or Teaching License through the Department of Education (DESE). If you do not have one, we can guide you on the process.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with 2.0 GPA or higher.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must provide three (3) professional references.
- Must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different educational settings and grade levels.
- Passion for education and making a positive impact on students' lives.
- Previous experience in teaching or substitute teaching is highly desirable.
