There are two (2) openings in our Aviation Building Department. As a Building Inspector / Plans Examiner, you will perform plan review and inspections used to regulate airport construction projects to ensure that they comply with state and local codes. You will also communicate with stakeholders from the project concept to completion.

- You will inspect permitted projects for compliance with approved building plans, specifications, and related codes and standards, sometimes at non-ordinary hours. You will also compile correction notices to clearly convey deficiencies.

- You will communicate with Airport Building Department (ABD) staff regarding project status.
- You will maintain knowledge of other airport construction projects so you can substitute for inspections, if needed.
- You will be an accurate source of information and knowledge of Port policies, relevant codes, timelines, and any ABD related areas of expertise to stakeholders.
- You will provide emergency preparedness / Emergency Operations Center (EOC) assistance including fire and life safety rapid evaluation of structures after significant events.
