About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to lead and support a growing tax practice focused on complex business and high-net-worth client work. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, client interaction, and mentoring staff in a small, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for partnerships, S-corps, corporations, and HNW individuals
Review returns prepared by seniors and contract staff
Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines
Perform tax research and provide planning support
Handle clients with foreign income and multi-entity structures
Serve as a primary technical resource for the team
Assist with workflow management during busy season
Provide mentoring and guidance to staff
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
CPA preferred
5+ years of public accounting tax experience
Strong experience with business and individual returns
Prior review and supervisory experience
Solid technical and research skills
Strong communication and client service skills
Work Environment
Remote, hybrid, or in-office options in Denver
Typical in-office expectation: 3 days per week (if hybrid)
Busy season averages 50–60 hours per week
