The Accounts Receivable (AR) Financial Analyst is tasked with overseeing and evaluating customer receivables to guarantee the prompt collection of outstanding invoices. This position also supports financial planning and analysis concerning AR performance. Collaborating closely with sales, customer service, and finance teams, the AR Financial Analyst aims to optimize cash flow, enhance working capital efficiency, and ensure seamless coordination across various business units.
Your role in our team
- You will ensure AR is paid in a timely manner.
- You will monitor and analyze customer accounts to identify payment trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- You will prepare and present regular AR aging reports, cash forecasts, DSO metrics, and bad debt reserves to management.
- You will manage order intake.
- You will maintain our automated dunning process.
- You will escalate and resolve delinquent accounts and disputes.
- You will contribute to internal and external audit requests related to receivables.
- You will participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance cash application, billing, and collections efficiency.
- You will support the billing process as needed.
- You will perform other project controlling tasks as required.
Your profile
- You have a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related discipline.
- You have 0–2 years of experience in a finance-related role
- You have a general understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
- You have proficiency in developing and implementing forecasting models for long-term contracts.
- You have skills in conducting profitability analysis and identifying key drivers for project performance.
- You have the ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets and derive financial insights.
- You have strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work, ensuring the integrity and reliability of financial data.
- You have the ability to deliver concise and impactful financial presentations to various stakeholders, effectively communicating key insights and recommendations.
- You have the ability to understand contract terms and conditions.
- You have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex formulas and pivot tables.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You are self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- You have proficiency with ERP and AR systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent (SAP experience preferred).
- You have an understanding of audit, compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
