Job description

📍 Remote (Europe) | Full-time | B2B Contract

About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing fintech company providing liquidity and technology solutions in the crypto and FX industry.
The company powers brokers, exchanges, hedge funds, and investment managers worldwide with cutting-edge B2B infrastructure, helping partners scale faster through seamless banking, payment, and compliance solutions.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Banking Lawyer to join the global operations team.
This role is not purely legal — it’s about building and maintaining the company’s banking and payment ecosystem across multiple jurisdictions.

You’ll identify, evaluate, and onboard new banking partners, EMIs, and PSPs, ensuring smooth cross-border payment flows and compliant treasury operations.
You’ll act as the key contact for all financial institutions, working closely with the Legal, Compliance, and Finance teams to create scalable and secure payment frameworks.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and expand the company’s banking and payment infrastructure across key regions (EU, UK, UAE, Asia).

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard banks, EMIs, PSPs, and virtual IBAN providers suitable for crypto/FX operations.

  • Manage existing relationships with financial institutions and negotiate partnership terms.

  • Support multi-currency payment flows, SWIFT/SEPA onboarding, and settlement processes.

  • Conduct due diligence and ensure compliance alignment (AML/KYC/KYB).

  • Collaborate with Legal & Compliance to prepare onboarding documentation and maintain partner records.

  • Monitor banking performance metrics (success rates, operational uptime, transaction limits, etc.).

  • Provide input on payment routing, treasury management, and liquidity optimization.

What We’re Looking For

  • 4–7+ years of experience in banking, payments, or fintech.

  • Proven track record of building or managing relationships with banks, PSPs, and EMIs.

  • Understanding of payment systems, settlement processes, and compliance frameworks.

  • Experience in crypto, FX, or high-risk verticals is a strong plus.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to liaise directly with banks.

  • Legal or compliance background is a plus, but not mandatory.

  • Fluent English (spoken & written).

Why Join

✨ Build global banking and PSP partnerships that drive company growth.
🚀 Take ownership of the entire banking infrastructure strategy.
🌍 Work in a fast-moving fintech & crypto environment with international exposure.
🤝 Collaborate directly with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
💼 Competitive compensation and growth opportunities within a global group.
