Our client, a leading private real estate lender with a robust team and over $350 million in capital, is seeking a Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to all regulations in their mortgage and investment activities. The company specializes in lending to builders and developers and also operates a mortgage brokerage and development division. With one of the top-performing funds in the U.S. and $100 million in real estate acquisitions over the past four years, they are expanding both organically and through acquisitions.
Compliance Officer Responsibilities :
Implement and update a compliance program for mortgage activities and regulatory changes.
Develop, update, and enforce compliance policies and staff training.
Set up and oversee a program to review loan files and identify compliance issues.
Prepare and submit accurate regulatory reports, and maintain compliance records.
Create and deliver compliance training for staff.
Manage regulatory engagements and submissions, and advise on compliance queries.
Develop a risk management framework, address emerging risks, and update policies as needed.
Work with various teams to ensure integrated compliance across departments.
