WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Relationship Manager to cultivate and oversee relationships with business banking clients. You will engage proactively in the sales process to achieve regional goals while adhering to CNB’s credit quality and risk management guidelines. By offering a range of product solutions tailored to client needs, you will ensure the delivery of top-notch service. You'll manage relationship profitability and portfolio risk to foster the profitable growth of your assigned portfolio. This role requires robust engagement with clients, with a focus on maintaining an active calling program to identify additional customer needs and promote suitable solutions.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Identify and cultivate profitable relationships with clients and prospects while aligning with the bank's strategic objectives.
- Collaborate closely with existing and new clients to discern their financial needs and provide effective solutions, ensuring adherence to the bank's credit quality standards.
- Create individual Relationship Plans and call schedules for clients and prospects, pinpointing business opportunities and potential referrals.
- Conduct client visits to discuss and promote a holistic banking relationship while addressing financing opportunities and forecasting client credit needs.
- Negotiate and document loan transactions, ensuring compliance with Bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the Bank in community and civic organizations, enhancing our visibility and engagement within the sector.
- Partner with various departments within the Bank to ensure client needs are met and any internal issues are resolved promptly.
- Monitor and analyze relationship results, account activities and profitability, and prepare comprehensive reports for management.
- Maintain oversight of portfolio quality and risk, collaborating with staff to address any challenges that arise.
- Stay informed about market conditions, competitive products, and industry trends.
- Analyze problem credits and engage with clients to develop solutions for minimizing loss exposure.
- Occasionally act as a product specialist, offering technical consultation to clients as well as other Relationship Managers.
- Manage operational workflows effectively to meet client requirements while reducing potential operational risks.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of banking experience.
- A minimum of 8 years in commercial lending specific to the assigned segment.
- Five years of credit experience significantly required.
