Job descriptionHarness your expertise and familiarity with the property to enhance the guest experience and optimize event spaces. Listen attentively to clients' needs and preferences, and lead a team that you have handpicked and trained to provide exceptional service. Take charge of any deviations from the plan, promptly tackle issues, and strive to transform feedback into positive outcomes. Enhance your property's standing as the favored banquet venue. Set the example with a positive "can do" mindset, inspiring and motivating your team to deliver their best performance. Foster a supportive atmosphere where everyone is empowered to excel and duly acknowledged for their contributions. Be Prepared to Lead : Be ready to step into the Manager on Duty role when necessary. Coordinate all aspects of banquet events, including planning, setup, and execution. Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by overseeing service quality and addressing any issues promptly. Manage banquet staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling to maintain a high level of service. Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their needs and ensure successful events. Monitor banquet budget and expenses to maximize profitability while delivering high-quality service. At least 4 years of progressive experience in food & beverage, with prior supervisory experience required. Effective verbal and written English communication skills are necessary to be successful in this position. Regular use of a computer, business equipment, and software is expected. Long hours are sometimes required. Medium work with the need to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels. Must be able to stand and / or walk for a lengthy period of time and have the ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body and your arms.
