Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring high standards of quality and customer service. You will play a key role in maintaining the store environment, providing friendly service, and contributing to a positive atmosphere.
Duties
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Square POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
- Learning the City Bowls and Coffee menu
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including coffee preparation stations and dining areas.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies.
- Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and sales transactions.
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment for all guests.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or any experience in the food service industry is required.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and knowledge of different coffee types is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail transactions.
