About the Role :
The Elle Center is seeking a dedicated Interventionist to join our student-focused team. In this role, you will provide one-on-one literacy and / or numeracy remediation for students of all ages with academic challenges. Our learning center specializes in developing strong foundations in reading, writing, and mathematics, using evidence-based, multi-sensory techniques to help students overcome learning challenges and achieve academic success. You will be part of a highly trained team of interventionists with specialized literacy and numeracy expertise, working in a clinical yet compassionate environment that empowers each child to reach their full potential. This position is available in both full-time and part-time formats, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with learning differences (such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one literacy and math interventions to students, focusing on building strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and numeracy.
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans using evidence-based methodologies (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, Lindamood-Bell, LETRS) tailored to each student's needs.
- Conduct informal assessments and analyze data to identify student skill levels, monitor progress, and adjust instruction as needed for optimal growth.
- Utilize explicit, systematic, and multisensory teaching strategies to engage learners and help them overcome challenges related to dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and other learning differences.
- Maintain a warm, supportive, and patient learning environment that builds student confidence and fosters a love of learning.
- Collaborate with The Elle Center team (educators, specialists) to share insights and best practices and communicate regularly with parents / guardians about student progress and strategies for support.
