Settings: Clinic and clients’ homes
Clients: Children with autism and other developmental disabilities

Help children strengthen their communication and functional language skills through individualized, evidence-based speech therapy. At Patterns Behavioral Services, you’ll collaborate with families, BCBAs, behavior technicians, occupational therapists, and other professionals to provide coordinated care.

What you’ll do

• Conduct speech and language screenings, evaluations, and standardized assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable therapy goals.
• Provide direct speech-language therapy in clinic and home settings.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies based on clinical data.
• Maintain accurate records of evaluations, treatment plans, services, and client progress.
• Educate families about communication needs and strategies they can use outside therapy sessions.
• Communicate progress to families, teachers, medical providers, and other authorized members of the client’s care team.
• Collaborate with BCBAs, behavior technicians, occupational therapists, and other professionals.
• Help clients generalize communication skills across people and environments.

What you’ll need

• A master’s degree in speech-language pathology or communication sciences and disorders.
• An active California Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing.
• Experience evaluating and treating pediatric communication disorders.
• Strong clinical documentation, organization, and communication skills.
• The ability to travel between assigned Orange County locations.

Experience supporting children with autism, developmental disabilities, AAC systems, or interdisciplinary treatment plans is preferred.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Proven work experience as a Speech Pathologist or similar role
• Provide consistent weekly availability minimum 1 full day or two half days per week
• Experience with certain conditions or working with specific age groups may be preferred
• Strong understanding of speech-related conditions, causes, and treatments
• Excellent coaching, verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with computers, especially patient and healthcare databases
• Attentive and caring with the ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Relevant training and/or certifications as a Speech Pathologist
• Part-Time; $80 per hour
