Job descriptionAt the child's home, you will adapt teaching techniques to various physical and mental behaviors to provide one-on-one developmental and behavioral support, understanding some patient styles may be more confrontational than others. For guided help, you will partner with a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavioral intervention plans which may include many physical and mental exercises to provide optimal support to your assigned child. You will use you evidence-based techniques to engage actively with children with physical activity which may include standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting and at times carrying children or objects that weigh up to 50 pounds. Astarting hourly rate between $15-$18that increases based on experience, certification level, and highest level of education. We're looking for a Behavioral Health Technician , working in Healthcare Systems and Services industry in Carrollton, Texas, United States .
Do you excel in building relationships with children and their families with trust and care?
Do you have a passion for helping neurodiverse children feel great about themselves while building confidence to achieve daily and long-term social and behavioral success?
Are you a compassionate care giver with at least a high school diploma (or GED) located in Carrollton, TX?
Centria Health is looking forBehavioral Health Techniciansto work one-on-one with children and families with autism to implement learning programs, collect data on target behaviors, communicate with stakeholders, maintain client confidentiality, and regularly meet with their direct leader. You will build trust and care with the child and their family in their home setting within 15 minutes from where you reside.
Our comprehensivepaid behavioral health trainingwill prepare you to directly impact the developmental growth of the children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and guide you to support your assigned child through their unique development opportunities, including potentially aggressive reactions. Under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
