At Pinoleville Pomo Nation, we are committed to providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed behavioral health services to Native American youth. Our mission is to support the mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of young people by integrating modern therapeutic practices with traditional Indigenous healing methods. We work in collaboration with local tribes, community leaders, and families to create a culturally safe environment for healing and growth.
We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Clinician who is passionate about working with Native American youth and committed to helping them navigate the unique challenges they face. Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES :
- Conduct assessments, create wellness plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions that consider the historical and cultural context of Native communities.
- Collaborate with traditional healers, community leaders, elders, and family members to incorporate Indigenous healing practices into treatment when appropriate.
- Advocate for the holistic well-being of youth by integrating mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health into care plans.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including educators, social workers, healthcare providers, and tribal organizations, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Navigate resources such as Indian Health Service (IHS) and tribal health programs to connect youth and their families with additional support.
