Are you looking to make a difference in peoples lives? Greenbrooks Tyson's Corner center has a full-time patient-focused technician position available in an outpatient clinical mental health setting with great pay and benefits! Greenbrook is seeking an individual who will be trained and certified to administer breakthrough behavioral health care services including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and esketamine therapy to patients with depression and other mental health disorders.
This is a patient care opportunity perfect for someone with a mental / behavioral health or healthcare support background (MH / BH technician, medical assistant, etc.), a patient-first attitude, consistent / solid work experience, and an eagerness to learn!
This in-person full-time (FT) position will primarily work in our Tyson's Corner center but may provide occasional coverage of nearby centers as needed. We are seeking someone full-time with full availability and flexibility between 7 : 00am-7 : 00pm to work 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday. Schedules will vary depending on regional and patient needs.
We offer a competitive pay range of $21-23 / hr (based on education level and prior experience), PLUS a generous benefits package including 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and medical / dental / vision benefits.
Primary responsibilities are, but not limited to :
- Administering TMS or esketamine therapy, in accordance with all provider-established clinical guidelines and protocols including but not limited to : preparing the TMS medical device, reviewing all medication / treatment administration information with each patient (subject to provider preference)
- Monitoring all aspects of TMS and esketamine (Spravato) treatments to ensure patient wellbeing and clinical accuracy including taking patient vitals before, during and after esketamine treatments
- Reviewing and administering psychiatric rating scales (i.e., PHQ-9, QIDS-SR16) to patients, as applicable, to benchmark treatment progress and ensure continuity of care.
- Identifying and resolving any issues related to patient discomfort during treatment using FDA pre-approved guidance from device manufacturer(s) or applicable medication protocols and in accordance with all clinical provider directives.
- Delivering exceptional patient care at all times by demonstrating empathy, developing trust, utilizing reflecting listening, and providing support to a vulnerable patient population.
- Recording all treatment session notes and documents in EHR, collaborating with other team members and / or providers as needed.
- Scheduling patients (both over the phone and in person), as well as conducting patient checkout procedures including collecting applicable co-payments and relaying discharge instructions.
- Maintaining understanding of general insurance and billing procedures to support related workflows and requests, as required.
