POSITION : ASSISTANT DIRECTOR - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
The Assistant Director of Business Development works with the facility Director of Business Development to oversee the Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service activities within the Business Development Department. The Assistant Director of Business Development is responsible for achieving the desired utilization of the organization's continuum of care through the effective application of marketing principles and methods.
As a member of the facility business development team, the Assistant Director of Business Development is actively involved in discussions related to a wide variety of departmental issues including, but not limited to, running reports, strategic planning, potential growth opportunities, future projects, changing in programing / protocols, recruitment and retention.
The Assistant Director of Business Development is responsible for assisting the Director of Business Development in developing and implementing the facility's strategic marketing plan, enhancing the facility's brand / image, coordinating sales and business development activities and maintaining an active and productive working relationship with internal departments and communicates issues or potential problems proactively, especially with the CEO, Director of Business Development, and Director of Admissions / Intake.
Hours are based on departmental and facility needs and may include day, evening and weekend hours, as directed by the CEO / Managing Director and Director of Business Development.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field required. Masters of Business Administration or related field highly preferred. Experience may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in lieu of a degree.
Experience : Minimum of two (2) years' experience in health care business development / marketing
environment with measurable business development results, and a knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles, preferred. Prior marketing and sales experience highly desirable.
Licensure / Certification : Must possess a valid Driver's License
Knowledge : Prefer knowledge of the Dallas / Fort Worth metro area and Northern Texas behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment and, age-specific programming. Must possess demonstrated superior leadership abilities and excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of and skills in application of marketing principles including product, placement, pricing and promotion as well as management of sales, advertising, social media, online presence and, public relations resources; creativity and flexibility; skills in data collection and analysis, interpretation, application and, evaluation; strategic planning skills; record of adherence to deadlines; customer service skills; teaching or training skills; willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required.
