Because our treatment facilities are located within local hospitals, patients have access to the full range of both psychiatric and medical care. This is especially helpful for patients experiencing symptoms that are confusing and impact their physical health. Join a team that is committed not only to our patients but also to the personal and professional growth of our staff! Under the supervision and direction of a licensed therapist (licensed clinical social worker or licensed professional counselor), the Behavioral Health Therapist is responsible for the provision of social work / counseling services to patients receiving care in the inpatient and outpatient setting. Assesses the social, psychological, cultural, environmental, and financial situation, as well as disposition needs, for each assigned patient. Collaborates with patients, families, healthcare team members, and community agencies to develop and implement plans to address identified needs. Evaluates effectiveness of plans and initiates change as needed.Minimum Requirements :

Master's Level degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field

De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire

Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationPreferred :

2 years Behavioral Health Therapist experience

1 year experience in a Behavior Health setting

Certification in Addiction, Screening Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) etc.
