Position Title : District-Wide Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – Elementary Level
Location : IL District-Wide | Elementary Schools
Schedule : Full-Time, Monday–Friday | 8 : 30 AM – 3 : 40 PM (37.5 hours per week)
The District is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support elementary students across schools, with a primary focus on the Structured Teaching and Learning Room (STLR) Program. This is a full-time, district-wide position designed to enhance behavioral and academic outcomes through data-driven behavioral interventions, staff collaboration, and student-centered supports.
The Structured Teaching and Learning Room (STLR) is a self-contained instructional program designed to provide intensive, individualized support for students with autism or other developmental delays. This program utilizes a structured and supportive learning environment to build students' communication and social interaction skills, promote positive behavior and emotional regulation, and deliver individualized academic instruction through an alternate or modified curriculum. By focusing on these key areas, the STLR program helps students thrive and gain the necessary skills for success.
Position Summary :
- Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to guide intervention effectiveness and inform decision-making.
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to student needs.
- Provide direct behavioral consultation and classroom coaching to enhance instructional practices and support positive student outcomes.
- Collaborate with special education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to ensure consistent implementation of behavioral supports.
- Support the STLR program and other district classrooms by modeling evidence-based strategies that promote communication, independence, and positive engagement.
