Position Summary :
The Community and Facility Behavioral Health Coordinator position will be responsible for a variety of administrative duties including updating and maintaining patient records, managing provider schedules at nursing facilities and ensuring serial compliance, verfying patient insurance, and pre-authorizations as indicated, as well as communicating effectively with patients and family. This position will work closely with behavioral health providers, outside facility nursing, and administration. Coordination with the internal Xpress Wellness RCM team and operations will be critical.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Participate with leadership in developing, improving, and growing medical care in long-term facilities.
- Assist in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of patient data meets company goals.
- Coordinate the implementation of new tools and resources with the medical care in long-term facilities team.
- Communicate issues and concerns with the Director and operations team.
- Work with the RCM team to coordinate the flow of accurate patient information from the clinical team to the billing team.
- Works with long-term care facilities to correct problems, gain efficiency, and coordinate the flow of information needed.
- Assist with credentialing of providers by assisting with gathering needed information.
- Traveling
- Respects and acknowledges clients rights and maintains strict confidentiality in all client matters; Investigates and resolves incidents and issues as required while maintaining HIPAA compliance and associated relevant guidelines and regulations.
- Coordinates the verification of insurance verification
- Other Duties as assigned, this is a safety-sensitive position Qualifications :
- Education :
- High school degree required. Associate's degree or higher preferred.
- Experience :
- 3+ years of experience in medical office or nursing facility preferred.
- Skills :
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. o Proficiency with Microsoft office suite and electronic medical records.
- Technically savvy and comfortable using tools such as mobile iPads for charting
