Professional Responsibilities:

  • Partner with clients to identify short- and long-term objectives and develop customized benefit strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Lead renewal strategy and execution, including planning timelines, conducting pre-renewal meetings, reviewing options, and presenting recommendations.
  • Deliver renewal presentations, including plan analysis, benchmarking data, cost comparisons, and strategic recommendations.
  • Serve as the primary project manager and communication liaison for assigned client accounts, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  • Partner with Benefit Analysts and Benefit Advocates to coordinate client service activities, renewal workflows, and proactive account management initiatives.
  • Address complex client inquiries and benefit challenges using a consultative approach while involving internal resources when needed.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and vendor partners to resolve issues and support client objectives.
  • Educate clients on legislative updates, compliance requirements, and industry changes to help reduce risk and maintain effective benefit programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier and vendor partners to support client solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client benefit offerings, including voluntary benefits and additional solutions that align with client needs.
  • Conduct employee open enrollment meetings, webinars, and benefit education sessions.
  • Assist with the development of employee communication materials and resources.
  • Provide guidance and training to new client HR contacts regarding benefit programs, processes, and available resources.
  • Lead internal client strategy meetings to ensure team alignment, discuss renewals, address service needs, and promote collaboration.
  • Stay informed on employee benefits trends, compliance updates, carrier solutions, and industry best practices through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in employee benefits consulting, account management, sales, business development, or a related client-facing role.
  • Active Colorado Life & Health insurance license required.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, plan designs, compliance requirements, carrier products, and industry best practices.
  • Experience developing client relationships, identifying needs, and delivering customized benefit solutions.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex scenarios and recommend effective solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and other client management technology platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, carriers, vendors, and client stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on industry trends, regulations, and emerging benefit solutions.
  • Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC) certification preferred.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $105,000 per year depending on experience.
