Our client, a local public charter school in Washington, DC, is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to support their HR and Operations teams. The ideal candidate is someone with proven experience working within a HR team, with heavy focus on payroll and benefits administration.
This is a contract (to potential hire) position that will last a minimum of 3 months. The role reports to the Director of Operations and is required on-site, 5 days / week. The pay is $25-29 / hr, based on candidate experience and qualifications.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications :
- Experience in – HR, working in a school environment, 2-4 years of HR , benefits and payroll experience. Familiar working with multiple insurance providers and retirement programs. Auditing experience.
- Proficient in – ADP , WorkforceNow, Microsoft Office
- Soft Skills – Excellent organizational skills and timely completion of tasks. Can handle working in a school environment
- Education – Bachelors degree required
- Proof of vaccination against covid-19 : Required, including Booster
