Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Basic knowledge of benefits laws, including ACA, FMLA, COBRA, and HIPAA. Our Client, a Food, Sports and Entertainment company, is looking for a Benefits Specialist for their Detroit, MI location.
Responsibilities :
- Benefits Administration Support : Assist with the daily administrative functions of colleagues benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
- Colleague Assistance : Serve as a point of contact for colleague’s benefits-related questions and assist with issues related to enrollment, life events, and plan coverage.
- Data Entry and Record Keeping : Maintain accurate colleague benefits records in the HR system. Update colleague benefits information as needed and ensure data integrity.
- Compliance Support : Help ensure benefits programs comply with applicable laws and regulations, such as ACA, FMLA, COBRA, and HIPAA. Assist with documentation and reporting for compliance purposes.
- Benefits Communication : Help prepare and distribute benefits communications, including benefits guides, plan summaries, and updates to colleagues.
- Colleague Education : Assist in organizing benefits information sessions or webinars to help colleagues understand their benefits options.
