Anticipated Start Date : 01 / 01 / 2026

The US base salary range for this full-time position is provided below :

Salary Range : $165,000 - $300,000

This range is an estimate based on the responsibilities and skills required for the position. Final compensation depends on various factors including location, experience, and education. In addition to the base salary and bonus eligibility, BNSF provides a comprehensive benefits package.

This position is fully remote, with the option to work from anywhere within the contiguous U.S. Occasional travel (up to 20%) to our corporate headquarters in Fort Worth, TX for in-person meetings will be required. BNSF covers travel expenses for business purposes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and implement data streaming solutions to efficiently process real-time data.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for both real-time and batch processing, ensuring smooth ETL processes for seamless data flow.
• Create and manage large-scale data warehouses to facilitate efficient data access for business intelligence and analytics.
• Integrate data from various sources to develop certified datasets that ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver effective data solutions based on their requirements.
• Optimize data workflows, monitor data pipelines, and troubleshoot issues for high performance and reliability.
• Ensure data security and compliance with applicable industry regulations.
• Stay updated on industry trends in data engineering, data science, and machine learning.
• Write maintainable code with proper documentation and unit testing for all data solutions.
• Lead the implementation of data engineering solutions into production systems through careful design, development, and monitoring.
