Job description
Job Location: Iowa (Be home every weekend!)
Overview:
The skilled Concrete Paving Foreman will lead a team of 12–14 employees. The ideal candidate will be familiar with paving equipment (not flat concrete) and be a team player willing to take on other roles as needed. Training will be provided by the Superintendent personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a crew of 12–14 people
- Operate and oversee paving equipment
- Occasionally assist with hand pouring on bridge projects
- Maintain a clean criminal background
- Support other team roles as needed
Requirements:
- 100% fluency in English; bilingual Spanish preferred
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Clean background check
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly wage: Depending On Experience
- Hours: Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays. Hours extra are very common
- Employment: End of March–Beginning of December
- 100% healthcare coverage for employee, employee + spouse or employee + children (Wellmark; dental and vision not included)
- Company truck, credit card, and phone provided
- Vacation policy negotiable for experienced candidates
- Per diem for travel: $50/day for projects 70+ miles from home; higher per diem for projects 100+ miles away
- 401(k): $1.35 per hour, company covers fees, matches up to 4%
Pay: $31.00 - $38.00 per hour or based on experience
