Office Management Billing Specialist
W2 / Remote
Thriving Center of Psychology is looking for an efficient Billing Specialist to help grow our team. The successful candidate will demonstrate past success in a billing related administrative role with the ability to effectively multitask while maintaining high attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist with processing payments daily to include creating invoices, running credit cards, processing refunds, allocating credits, etc.
Verifying insurance and communicating with clients regarding their coverage.
Processing and submitting claims for insurance.
Working collaboratively with clinicians regarding clients' coverage limits and medical authorization, if needed, to establish a plan for continued treatment.
Communicating with clients regarding the limits of their coverage and educating them on available options for continued care.
Assist with handling requests regarding insurance inquiries, super-bills, refunds, and payment method updates.
Responding to billing related inquiries in a timely manner.
Collaborating with other members of the Billing Department to ensure policies are being implemented and followed and assisting with brainstorming and creating updated.
Qualifications : Associates Degree
2+ years of relevant experience required
Excellent organizational / time-management and multitasking skills
Strong customer service orientation
Superb attention to detail. Highly professional and able to maintain tact and confidentiality at all times.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Prior experience with an EMR or EHR preferred
