Pharmacy Technician - Retail (Billing)
Position Highlights :
Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as a Pharmacy Technician. This role will be great for someone that has a passion for Pharmacy and great customer service for our patients we serve. This position works at our Central Fill location for Nebraska Medicine and the office is located at approx. 114th and Dodge in Omaha, NE. This specific Pharmacy Technician will have a pharmacy billing focus .
Some of the primary responsibilities are below :
Post Account Receivable updates in MerchantSoft
Patient outreach for credit card transactions
Prescription rebilling
Accepting patient payments
Those with a current Nebraska pharmacy technician registration are highly preferred.

Shift :
Full Time and benefits eligible (1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week)
Monday - Friday variable hours between 8 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Pharmacy Technician - Retail (Billing)
Prepares and dispenses medication upon receiving prescription from prescribers and processes all related duties under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Required Qualifications :
Minimum of 18 years of age required.
Ability to attend and successfully complete 160 hours of on the job training required.
High school education or equivalent required.
Ability to complete moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a hand held calculator required.
Ability to attend and successfully complete 160 hours of on the job training required.
Licensed Nebraska pharmacy intern or registered as a pharmacy technician with the State of Nebraska Board of Pharmacy required.
Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications :
Work experience which demonstrates analytical ability, judgment, and interpersonal skills in pharmacy or healthcare preferred.
College coursework in pharmacy preferred.
Ability to type 20 wpm (with error correction) preferred.
