UT SouthwesternDallas, TXSUMMARY
This position will oversee administrative, financial, and research operations within the Department of Biochemistry. Responsibilities include assisting in grant preparation, maintaining research accounts by reviewing and approving financial transactions, and discussing financial reports with Principal Investigators during monthly meetings. This position requires the following :
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Experience using PeopleSoft and financial reporting systems.
- Adequate understanding of administrative functionalities including travel, payment reimbursements, NSCTS, grant modifications, etc.
- Experience with grant management and coordination including federally funded and private grants (i.e., NIH, CPRIT, American Cancer Society, Welch, etc.).
- Attention to detail and demonstrated follow-through of assigned projects.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Experience monitoring financial activity.
- Experience in conducing financial planning and analysis.
