Title of Position Assistant Professor of Biology

STARTING DATE : Fall Term 2026

TIMELINE : Screening of applications begins December 15 2025 and continues until position is filled.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

The successful candidate will fulfill the duties of tenure track faculty including :

• teaching Ecology and other biology and environmental science major courses contributing to team-taught introductory biology courses and teaching courses within the general education plan
• conducting collaborative student-faculty research
• academic advising for students within the department
• service to the college
• collaboration with faculty in the Environmental Science and Studies program

QUALIFICATIONS :

Preferred

SALARY : Competitive for entry-level appointment at similar institutions
