We are looking for experienced Engineering Managers to inspire and guide some of our Engineering teams at Coconut. You are expected to perform at a high level and lead your team in efficiently building solutions to revolutionize the banking experience at some of the industry leading financial institutions.

We innovate on top of a modern solution stack consisting of web technologies (React and Laravel) utilizing a RESTful architecture, and backed by relational DBs (MySQL and PostgreSQL) all deployed on AWS.
You don't need to be an expert in any of our specific technologies, but experience in software development with a modern SaaS stack is an asset.
We don't follow rigid Scrum, but we do run our teams in an iterative way, focusing on continuously improving our team's delivery and implementing what works for us.

Note : On Call We strive to provide service excellence in all areas, as such, roles in our Engineering department are expected to contribute to our collaborative on-call rotation, working with your team to support our systems and ensuring application availability / reliability. As an Engineering Manager, you'll be available to support your team's on call rotations and direct your team's rotation schedule.

- People Leadership : You will be coaching, mentoring, guiding, and motivating a team of engineers from different backgrounds. This includes all aspects of people management including hiring and training team members, 1 : 1s, and facilitating opportunities for knowledge sharing, pair programming, or training sessions.
- Delivery : You'll help your team(s) deliver code in a high trust environment using agile ceremonies, with a strong connection with stakeholders (using demos, retros, blameless incident reviews, and the like). While you won't be as hands-on with the code, the expectation is that you have the knowledge to ensure your team designs, plans and delivers quality and performant code following best practices throughout the SDLC.
- Planning and Objectives : Drive predictable outcomes by overseeing the team's planning, managing resource allocation and ensuring the team's work is tied to clear objectives and metrics aligned with organizational goals.
- Driving Process : Working with the engineering leadership team to define, implement and champion dept-wide standards and processes.
