Job Summary and Responsibilities
Job Summary / Purpose
This position manages the operations of the Clinical Engineering (CE) Department to provide a regulatory compliant, cost effective program that meets or exceeds the particular quality and financial expectations at one or more acute care facilities in alignment with CommonSpirit Health’s National Clinical Engineering Service Level Agreement (SLA) and applicable Key Performance Indicators (KPI). This position is responsible for providing the customer(s) with an aggressive CE program that lowers their annual maintenance costs, increases equipment life cycles, and provides exceptional customer service. This position develops and directs a comprehensive strategic life cycle asset management program for each site and ensures the CE program is valued and trusted as the subject matter expert for pre-purchase evaluations including
total life cycle cost analysis.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
Directs the overall operations of one or more CE Departments by :
- Meeting / exceeding all SLA deliverables and conducting Monthly Operational Report (MOR) meetings to review CE’s KPI results with each hospital leadership team.
- Developing synergies with key stakeholders, . System Medical Device Security Operations, System IT, Clinical Department leadership and Original Equipment Manufacturers to implement a medical device security program for networked medical equipment across all sites.
- Develops and ensures the implementation of policy and procedures that result in a fully compliant CE program for each site under their scope.
Directs supervisors and / or CE team members in best practices to ensure the financial performance of the department meets or exceeds budget and supports CommonSpirit Health’s financial health. This is accomplished by :

Minimum Qualifications :
This position requires participation in a rotational on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be available to respond to urgent service needs outside of regular business hours and may be required to return to the facility on short notice.
