Job description

Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include :

This position is for a student (junior or senior level) or recent graduate pursuing an environmental, chemical, or general engineering degree and / or a degree in a related science. The apprentice will support various groups within the Environmental organization and will work with a variety and diverse group of engineers and other technical professions. Tasks may include but not limited to update environmental training material, coordinate environmental / regulatory documents, perform data evaluations, and complete environmental field walk downs.

Required Qualifications

Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.

Must be a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university or a recent college graduate.

Major : Environmental, Chemical, or General Engineering Degree and / or a Degree in a related science (junior or senior level)

Must successfully complete Savannah River Site General Employee Training and substance abuse processing.

Unofficial transcripts are required and must be uploaded into BrassRing before the job posting closes.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
