The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for Lighting Controls is responsible for driving sales within the Northeast region. The RSM will develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market share and achieve revenue targets. This role focuses on building strong relationships with lighting agencies, distributors, contractors, and end customers to promote our client’s advanced lighting control solutions.

Focus :

Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals in the Northeast region. Collaborate with local lighting agencies to support, train, and co-sell in major markets. Establish and nurture relationships with end customers, contractors, and engineers / architects to create demand and secure specifications. Drive growth through distributor relationships, developing programs that maximize sales potential. Identify and cultivate new prospects, customers, and referral sources to expand the customer base. Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategies. Provide input for product development based on regional market requirements. Set and review sales goals, submit reports and forecasts accurately and timely. Represent the company at industry trade shows and events.

Skill Set :

Someone with a robust technical background who is eager to transition into a sales role 3-5 years of proven technical experience in the lighting industry, with a focus on controls preferred. Strong understanding of lighting, energy management, and electrical contracting in the Northeast region. Ability to analyze sales metrics (ROI, market share, pipeline) and adjust strategies accordingly. Excellent communication and presentation skills, proficient in CRM and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within the Northeast region.
