The Body Shop Estimator is responsible for being the liaison between insurance companies, customer, and manager to ensure proper repaid are conducted while providing work-class customer service.
The Body Shop Estimator is supervised by the Body Shop Director.
Essential Functions and Duties
- Communicate with insurance companies to get supplement approvals and payments sent directly to the body shop throughout the repair process.
- Communicate with customer as repair milestones are being completed
- Complete OEM training within 6 months of employment
- Conduct final quality checks while verifying estimate line-by-line
- Prepare estimates in accordance to manufacturers specifications and provide repair procedure to assigned technicians.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.
- Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.
- Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policies. Belts worn on trousers to be of no buckle design to avoid scratching paint on customer's vehicles.
- Arrive at work, take breaks, and depart work at the times designated by management.
- Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.
- Ensure that work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean.
