Summary :
We are representing a reputable commercial general contractor seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing preconstruction team. The Estimator will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates for a range of commercial projects, including ground-up builds, tenant improvements, retail, office, education, and healthcare. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with project managers, architects, and trade partners in a collaborative environment focused on precision, teamwork, and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for commercial projects at various design stages
- Review drawings, specifications, and addenda to define scope and assess constructability
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs across multiple trades and disciplines
- Solicit, analyze, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals for scope completeness
- Develop and maintain updated budgets, bid packages, and preconstruction documents
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and design coordination sessions
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering alternatives
- Support preconstruction handoffs and assist operations teams with project transitions
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and assist in developing bid coverage
