Experience with large commercial contractors and the ability to transition to aboveground civil projects (acceptable with training). At least 57 years of stable employment at current or previous employers. Strong understanding of the estimation process and familiarity with tools for creating accurate bids. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work fulltime inoffice near the Tacoma location.
Our client a wellestablished aboveground civil contractor specializing in steel and concrete projects is seeking their first dedicated Estimator to join their growing team. This company handles largescale projects ranging from $500000 to $10 million such as manufacturing plants and factories with all ground and underground work subcontracted. This is a unique opportunity to shape the estimation process and contribute to the companys continued success by streamlining project bidding and securing new business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare accurate estimates for public projects ranging from $500000 to $10 million.
- Work closely with project managers and leadership to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
- Evaluate project requirements and analyze blueprints specifications and other documentation.
- Utilize the current estimation spreadsheet or recommend and deploy an offtheshelf solution to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain costeffective quotes.
- Maintain an organized workflow and help streamline the estimation process to support the project pipeline.
