Primary Purpose :
The Districtwide Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing major district events with a strong focus on project management, vendor coordination, and budget oversight. This position ensures that all district events are executed professionally, on time, and within budget while maintaining high standards of excellence.
Qualifications :
Education / Certification :
Bachelor's Degree preferred in Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, Business, or a related field.
Special Knowledge / Skills :
- Proven experience in event coordination and project management, preferably in a school district or public sector environment.
- Strong budget management skills with the ability to plan, track, and reconcile expenses.
- Expertise in project management software.
- Ability to develop detailed project binders and documentation for recurring and specialized events.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments and with external vendors.
- Knowledge of audio-visual equipment, including microphones, speakers, podiums, and basic lighting.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple events simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexible and resourceful, with the ability to solve problems quickly and creatively
